August 10, 2024 Stockholm City Tour (for guests arriving early to Stockholm)
Meet your private guide and driver that will take you through the streets of Stockholm to visit the most important sights. See the Old Town – or Gamla Stan as it called in Swedish – with the cobbled stoned streets, and the many small authentic coffee shops and unique alleys. Pass by the Royal Castle, the Opera House, The Fjällgatan Viewpoint and the City Hall. Continue the tour to Djurgården where you will visit the incredible Vasa Museum and experience the relaxing Swedish “fika” break in one of the charming Swedish Cafes

OPTION 2: Rib Boat Safari
The private captain and guide will meet you at Vironallas, near the Market Square. You will be provided with proper clothing/flotation suit depending on weather conditions. Out on the sea we will slowly pass the heart of Helsinki with the President castle, the open-air market, Kaivopuisto and Suomenlinna, the historical island fortress. After leaving the inner archipelago behind us we will hit full throttle as the boat cuts the waves in speeds up to 50 knots. You will visit an Island where you enjoy snacks and drinks. Palmse Manor

August 15, 2024 Arrival into Visby (Gotland) Port at 8:00AM. Depart at 4:00PM.
West Coast of Gotland & Visby
You will join your coach and travel southward through the agricultural districts of Gotland. Gotland is Sweden’s largest island and province in the Baltic Sea. Your first stop will be the medieval church. Gotland is famous for its medieval churches, and there are 92 on the island. After a photo stop at the church, you will continue passing small local communities to Gnisvard, a picturesque fishing village with a natural harbor. Close by the fishing village is an ancient grave, with standing stones shaped like a ship. The ship is dated back to the Bronze Age, between 1000 and 400 BC, which provided a Viking-like burial thought to carry the dead to the afterlife. There are also the remains of an even older Stone Age grave. Re-joining your coach, your next stop will be the walled city of Visby, also known as the ‘City of Roses and Ruins’. Visby, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best-preserved medieval city in Scandinavia, is an outstanding example of a northern European walled Hanseatic town, which has uniquely preserved its townscape and extremely valuable buildings. The town wall, dating back to the 13th century, is approximately 2.2 miles long and encircles the old stone houses, churches, and streets. Conclude your tour with a captivating visit to the Gotland Museum, where you can immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of this fascinating Swedish island.

Morning Riga City Tour
Your tour begins with a visit to Riga Synagogue in the Old Town on Peitavas Street – one of Riga’s Art Nouveau jewels and a significant cultural monument. Peitav shul is the only active synagogue in Riga. Continue to the Jewish Community Center on Skolas Street – the building’s construction began in 1913 according to the design created by the famous architect Edmund Trompowsky and was continued in the early 20s by Paul Mandelstam – one of the first Latvian architects of Jewish origin. The building also houses the museum “Jews in Latvia” and several structural units of the Riga Jewish Community. Continue the Riga city tour with a walk through the Old Town, first referred to in chronicles in 1201. The tour starts by passing pedestrian Kalku Street with Livu Square and its medieval buildings, Small and Great Guild Houses, Dome Cathedral, Stock Exchange building, Blackheads House, St. Peter’s Church, then passing the Latvian National Opera House and the city canal. The walking part ends at the Freedom Monument.

Afternoon Art Nouveau Tour
The afternoon tour will take you to the Art Nouveau buildings district – a quarter included in the UNESCO architecture values list. You shall visit the famous Art Nouveau district, Albert Street – a real open-air architectural museum, where the most explicit collection of Art Nouveau buildings in Europe is located. You’ll also see the Academy of Arts, the University building, the National Opera, and the Central train station. Orientation city sightseeing along the Daugava River embankment. Make a stop at the Riga Central Market (formerly zeppelins garage) before you return to the ship.
