June 6, 2021 – We will depart the Arusha Airport via light aircraft flight to the western Serengeti where we will be greeted & transferred by safari vehicles to Singita Sabora Plains Camp or Singita Faru Faru Lodge for the 3-night visit. After lunch, we will enjoy our first afternoon game drive to introduce us to the geography and wildlife of this picturesque region of wild Africa.

June 7 & 8, 2021 – For these two full days, we are on safari exploring the unique sections of the western reaches of the Serengeti National Park.

Daily game drives with professional guides and trackers provide the perfect opportunity to get up close to Africa’s incredible animals, while spot lit nighttime drives reveal the elusive magic of nocturnal Africa. The game drives are all conducted in state-of-the-art Land Cruisers, each accommodating a maximum of six guests. During your stay at Singita Grumeti, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife including cheetah, bearded wildebeest, bat eared fox, black rhino, Maasai giraffe, lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, zebra and the rare Colobus monkey.
Singita Balloon Safari (Additional Cost)
Visitors to Singita Grumeti in Tanzania have the unique opportunity of chartering a hot air balloon for an unforgettable ride over the treetops of the Serengeti. This once-in-a-lifetime experience takes game viewing to new heights and gives photography buffs an amazing new perspective on the world below. You’ll skim above the grasslands and acacia forests, and at other times ascend to 1 000 feet to see the enormity of the reserve. The Singita Balloon Safari is a romantic and evocative way of experiencing the wilderness as you gracefully and silently glide over the plains, observing the wide variety of wildlife below.

The Grumeti Fund Community Outreach Program works with residents of the 21 villages bordering Singita Grumeti to realize their development goals. We partner with these communities to address issues of education, natural resource management, enterprise development and water management. We encourage guests to visit these communities to experience the success of these projects firsthand.

June 9, 2021 – After our morning game-viewing activity and breakfast, we will transfer by road to the airstrip for our light aircraft flight to the northern reaches of the Serengeti, where we will be greeted & transferred by safari vehicles to Serengeti Bushtops for the 3-night visit.

We will vary our day’s activity selections to ensure that our time here shows us a detailed view of what is close to camp and all that is further a field. Then there’s the constant kaleidoscope of bird life, with vultures, goshawks and eagles soaring past secretary birds, sandgrouse and plovers, bustards and an array of fabulously-coloured smaller birds. Your heart can hardly fail to leap at the plumage of a starling or the glimpse of a kingfisher, the flight of a love bird or the call of a shrike. And, we haven’t even mentioned the extraordinary reptiles, insects and – of course – the stunning landscapes, which make this place so incredible.
The Serengeti forms the backdrop to one of the most breath-taking events in the entire animal kingdom – the annual great wildebeest migration. This is actually a year-long search for food by wildebeest, with accompanying herds of zebra and gazelle. The migration usually follows a clock-wise direction, but is guided by rain and the growth of grass; at any time the animals can ignore tradition and follow the rain clouds.

June 12, 2021 – After our morning game-viewing activity and breakfast, we will be transferred to the airstrip for our light aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro Airport to connect with your scheduled departing international flight.
